We eloped!
On Monday August 31, 2020 at 12:10pm Kyle and Niina became married.
In Woodstock, New York
The Ceremony
Short and Sweet
Judge Jason married us and the two witnesses were his wife, Erin, and colleague, Wendy, who doubled as our photographer.
The day was 76 degrees and mostly sunny. The flowers Niina held were cut from a garden of a lovely Kingston resident we met the night before we married.
We did not say vows, rather we wrote each other letters that we exchanged during the ceremony (and read to each other in Portland over dinner).

Wait, who are we again?
Kyle
Kyle grew up in a tiny town in New Jersey. His parents are Kyle R. and Patricia. Kyle has 1 sibling, his sister, Erin.
Niina
Niina grew up in an even tinier town in Lapland, just shy of the Arctic Circle. Her parents are Jukka and Liisa. Niina has 3 siblings: Timo, Junnu, and Hannamari.
Where did we meet?
The email that started it all
Meanwhile at Pencil Factory...
Joe then texted his roommate to come see if she would be okay with Kyle as a roommate for one month. Joe's roommate was Niina. And the rest is history!*
*Well, it took about three more years to reconnect, but Niina is still "Niina Greenpoint Sublet" in Kyle's phone :-)
